What do we prioritize in our training?
At Paws & Reins, we prioritize real-world training. Even though a lot of training starts in the quiet of our living rooms, the ultimate goal is to transfer that training to real-life scenarios!
Whether you’re walking downtown in Rexburg, enjoying the parks in Idaho Falls, spending time with family in Blackfoot, playing in a backyard in Shelley, hiking the trails in Driggs, or spending time in your Ammon neighborhood, we tailor training to your environment and goals. Our goal is to help your dog succeed in the situations you actually live.
Our training style is relationship-based, creative, and fun, helping your dog want to work with you. There is magic in creating a dog that has as much fun training as you do.
Every session focuses on clear communication, enjoyment, and trust because a dog that enjoys training is more motivated to engage in their training.
What is our training style?
What behaviors or cases do we work with?
We work with almost every training need, from puppy socialization, reactivity, recall, leash manners, and household behavior to advanced obedience.
Our trainer has worked hands-on with thousands of dogs across many settings, including years in Training and Behavior Modification departments at two animal shelters, guiding a zoo-based training program, leading public dog training and group classes, and working in enrichment and daycare programs. That diverse background means we’ve truly seen it all and can tailor solutions that fit your dog and your lifestyle.
We take on almost all behavior concerns, and we’re happy to offer referrals when needed. Our mission is to help every dog and owner find success in real life.
